The dogs arrived from North Carolina on April 13 and are all Collie/Shepherd mix, said Sophie Silverman of A New Chance Animal Rescue.
Silverman, a Fox Lane senior, has been rescuing dogs since Dec. 2011. Today's event is about exposure for the organization, raising funds for supplies and vet bills--and placing the pups.
