In an attempt to beat Bedford-Katonah Patch to 1,000 likes on Facebook, Yorktown Patch has issued a challenge.

"They have the little quaint shops and restaurants, we have the , various restaurants, small businesses and big box stores—in Yorktown you can find just about everything," they crow.

Well, maybe so.

But we, too, have quaint shops in each of Bedford's hamlets.

I won't even bring up the Bedford's They might have Turkey Mountain but we have , and the trail system.

And what about the people? In this close-knit community we've got amazing people, from and volunteers and business owners and even a handful of notable and celebrity residents.
