Bedford Central School District: The League of Women Voters (LWV) will be hosting a Candidates Forum on Monday, May 10th 2010 at the Fox Lane Middle School Theater for the open seat on the Board of Education.
The Board of Education has three seats up for election, each of which is a three year term. The seats are:
- the seat currently held by Donna Marino for which Suzanne Grant of Mount Kisco is running unopposed;
- the seat currently held by Paula Kumar for which Jennifer Gerken of Bedford and Michael Solomon of Bedford are running; and
- the seat currently held by Erika Long of Pound Ridge who is running unopposed for her existing seat.
The forum will be televised live on Bedford Central Channel 18, on the district website (www.bcsdny.org) via live video streaming, and will subsequently be available for re-play on the district website.

Community members may cast a vote for each of the three Board member seats. In addition, community members may vote on the 2010-11 School Budget on Tuesday, May 18th. The polls will be open from 7 am until 9 pm; Bedford Central registered voters vote in the elementary school serving their attendance area.
