On May 19 at 7:45 pm, Temple Shaaray Tefila will host Yael Dayan, a member of Israel's Parliament. The title for the evening's event is "Yael Dayan: A Personal View of Israel's Challenges and Realities."
There are formidable threats to Israel today, but also great possibilities for peace. This evening's talk will be an opportunity to understand Israel's situation from the perspective of a leading member of the government. "As the daughter of an iconic Israeli general, Yael Dayan has a unique view of the many challenges and contradictions facing Israel", states Rabbi David Greenberg, the temple's senior rabbi. "We welcome this opportunity to hear her thoughts and interact with her."
Yael Dayan has published five novels as well as a memoir of the Six-Day War called Israel Journal: June 1967 and a biography of her father, Moshe Dayan, called My Father, His Daughter.
