FBI, ATF, Bedford PD Home Explosion Investigation Nabs NJ Suspects
The two suspects will face federal charges related to the early morning, "suspicious" fire and explosion at a house in Bedford Hills.
BEDFORD, NY — On Thursday morning, around 7 a.m., Bedford officers responded to a McLain St. home in Bedford Hills after a report of a suspicious fire — the investigation led to a joint federal probe and the arrest of two New Jersey suspects on federal charges.
There were no reported injuries in the early morning fire and explosion.

Following a joint investigation between the Bedford Police Detective Bureau and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the two suspects were arrested Saturday morning in New Jersey and will be prosecuted by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York on federal charges related to the fire and explosion.

"The Bedford Police Department thanks the Westchester County Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Closter (NJ) Police Department, and all partner agencies whose cooperative effort brought this case to a quick resolve," police officials said in a statement.
The suspects' names have not yet been released by police.
