Four Local Youths Charged With Hate Crime in Painted Swastika Incident
Four teenagers from the Lewisboro area allegedly spray-painted anti-Semitic marks on a home in South Salem.

Four local youths are scheduled to appear in Lewisboro Town Court on Monday night after allegedly spray-painting anti-Semitic slurs and Swastikas on the home and neighborhood of a Jewish family in the Elmwood Road area of Lewisboro early Friday morning.
State police charged Michael Trapasso, 17, of South Salem, Cris Grispin, 17, of South Salem, Daniel Mitchell, 17, of Cross River, and Michael Skalaski, 18 of Golden’s Bridge, each with counts of second-degree hate crime and third-degree criminal mischief, both felonies.
State police said the youths may be involved in a second incident which involved the vandalism of a vehicle in the Oakwood Commons Estates and graffiti spray-painted on several post office vehicles in the Vista section of Lewisboro.

One female, who was with the men at the time of the crimes, is still being sought after for questioning.
The Lewisboro Police Department worked closely with state police immediately following the incident reports early Friday morning. After their arrest, the four young men were arraigned in Lewisboro town court and released without bail to their parents. They are due back in court June 13 at 7 p.m.
