How did you come up with the name?
I love the word “genuine” and what it represents. It’s also a word I consistently hear from my clients when they give me feedback about their own coaching experiences with me.

Why choose that location? Why start a business in this town?
Katonah is my home and I love living and working here. It was in these beautiful surroundings and among this exceptional community that I became inspired to become a Co-Active Coach.

Briefly, what business are you in?
Genuine Coaching and Consulting provides Co-Active Coaching services for individuals, artists, executives, entrepreneurs and business teams.

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
Genuine Coaching and Consulting is a relatively new business, so these days I’m concentrating on marketing my services and growing my coaching circle.

Were there any challenges that made you second guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?
I’ve been entrepreneurial and mostly self-employed for my entire career, so when I decided to begin training and certification for Co-Active Coaching, I was more than prepared for the challenges ahead in building a new business.

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
The tremendous personal growth and breakthroughs that my clients experience through Co-Active Coaching make me proud every day, and so happy to be doing this work.

What’s the most innovative idea your employees or customers have had that you put into practice?
I enjoy tapping into individual and group creativity as a means for my clients to discover how they are going to at last accomplish their goals. It’s getting off of the well-tred path that’s led to nowhere, and finding an exciting new one, that turns wishes and dreams into fulfilling realities.

How do you deal with difficult customers?
One of the best things about my job is that I get to choose who I want to work with, or not. So I have no difficult customers.

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?
I offer free introductory sessions so that everyone can experience Co-Active Coaching and learn more about it. To that end, I’m also actively developing coaching presentations and workshops which I’ll be excited to share with our community in the near future.
