We are occasionally asked by readers why we don't cover youth soccer, or little league, or more town sports. We sincerely wish we could cover every athletic (or arts, or academic) endeavor but it's not possible. What is possible is for athletes (and artists and academics) to have a voice on Patch, a place to post their photos and scores. Here are two great examples of organizations who are taking advantage of Local Voices to post their scores and standings:

3. Hot air balloon rides over Bedford

The Bedford garden club turns 100 years old next week, and they have a lot to celebrate! They have planned a jam-packed day of very cool activities - including hot air balloom rides, and fun and educational workshops at John Jay Homestead on June 4. Click here for the event website.

5. Drivers needed for Home Delivered Meals Program

The Town of Bedford Nutrition Program is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver prepared meals to homebound senior citizens for a lunchtime delivery. You only need to commit to one weekday each week or one day every other week between 11:30am - 12:30pm, with your own car. These seniors are wonderful if you can help.  for contact info.
