'Inspired By Nature' Leigh Taylor Mickelson Exhibit At Katonah Library
You can see the renowned artist's ceramic sculptures up close and in person at the library from July 5 through the end of August.

KATONAH, NY — This summer, the library will become the perfect indoor and outdoor venue to explore the wonders of nature through a unique medium.
The Katonah Village Library announced that ceramics sculptor Leigh Taylor Mickelson will be exhibiting her collection of ceramic sculptures inspired by nature at the library from July 5 through August 31.
Mickelson, who is a resident of Ossining, received her Masters in Fine Arts, Ceramic Sculpture from the Rochester Institute of Technology's School For American Crafts. Her ceramic sculptures have been widely shown across the country.

Mickelson says that her works are inspired by forms from nature, especially ones found in plant life. By focusing on creating meaningful opportunities to discover joy, she says that she aims to make art that stops someone in their tracks and makes them take a breath.
An opening reception will take place on Thursday, July 6, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Mickelson's work will be displayed outside on the rotunda and indoors on the main floor.
