1. Valentine's Day: As if the red, heart-and-chocolate filled displays in stores all over town didn't tip you off, it's Valentine's Day. So, Happy to you, whether you're celebrating with a loved one or your kids. And if you're [not] celebrating alone this year, come back at noon for humorist Peter Gerstenzang's hilarious take on the holiday. And it's not too late to stop in some stores for last minute gift shopping;will be fulfilling orders all day.

2. Film Screening: If you're looking for evening activities, the film classic Bringing Up Baby, starring Cary Grant as a shy paleontologist and Katharine Hepburn as a flighty heiress, will be . It's a classic RomCom—before there were RomComs. Immediately following the 7:30 p.m. screening there will be a festive champagne reception. And don't forget the aphrodisiac dinner at Via Vanti, featuring .

3. Calendar released: Already planning vacations for 2011-12? You can make your dates official, the Katonah Lewsiboro school district released its calendar for the next school year. Find it on the district website, and check back later today for news from Thursday night's school board meeting.

4. Budget woes: If you are a parent in the Bedford Central School system, check out the message from Jere Hochman, superintendent of schools, in the latest Bedford Buzz. He uses the analogy of an iceberg to discuss the budget challenges that lie ahead, and mentions the number of variables in this year's budget that "are out of the district's control."
