Congratulations to the John Jay girls JV volleyball team, which took home a trophy on Saturday for winning the Hedrick Hudson JV Tournament, White Lightening Division. Well done!

Mark your calendars: A Nation of Immigrants will be held Sun. Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. and organizers say it's a day for the entire community to come together—the day will celebrate the traditions and culture of a rich array of cultures: Italian, Latin, African-American, Irish and more.

4.Talk Like a Pirate Day
The Bedford Hills Free Library is doing it again—channeling their inner pirate and hosting a swashbuckling storytelling time for the International Talk Like a Pirate Day. The storytime "sets sail" on Tuesday, September 20, at 4:00 p.m. for "scoundrels" 3 and 4 years old. And on Wednesday, the pirate fun continues for K - 2.
5. Yoga for 'tweens
The Bedford Post is now hosting Little Buddhas, with a yoga program for children ages 9 - 13 on Tuesdays from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Read up on their philosophy
