John Jay Golf Outing, Summer Temps Today

1. Interested in running for the Kat-Lew or Bedford school boards?

Today is the deadline to file in both districts. Petitions can be submitted in both districts until 5 p.m. Click here for details on Katonah Lewisboro and here for details on Bedford.

2. Pride events at Fox Lane

It was announced that Fox Lane High School will hold its first Pride Week, which is being put together by the school's Gay-Straight Alliance chapter, to highlight LGBTQ issues and include awareness events, starting today with Pride Day.

3. Family U Book Group

There's still time to pick up the book and join the next discussion on April 27 at 10 a.m. at the Katonah Village Library. Family U describes the books as follows: Parents love their children, but not all children feel loved. These books help parents identify and speak their child’s primary love language. In The Five Love Languages of Children, family and marriage expert Gary Chapman,
Ph.D. and psychiatrist Ross Campbell, M.D., offer guidelines to effectively convey unconditional feelings of respect, affection, and commitment that will positively influence your child's emotions and behavior.  Dr. Chap-
man’s book, The Five Love Languages of Teenagers is recommended for parents of middle school and high schoolers.

4. John Jay Boosters golf outing registration

Registration is now open for the and diner at the Waccabuc Country Club. Golf and dinner takes place on June 4th (Monday). All proceeds benefit the athletic programs in the Katonah Lewisboro School District. Registration and sponsorship opportunities are available on our web site www.johnjayboosters.org.

It's going to be almost 90 degrees in town today! Kids going to school in shorts in April? Definitely time to pack away the wools sweaters—the warm temperatures will last all week!
