K-L Board Meets, Book Events Galore

1. K-L board to discuss PLC's, bond re-financing and mandate relief
On tonight's school board agenda are three discussion items. The first is a presentation from James Nytko, a representative from Capital Market Advisors, who will provide an overview on refinancing of the District's 2003 - $10,000,000 School Bonds. Superintendent of Schools Paul Kreutzer will lead two discussions: The first, on Gov. Cuomo's mandate relief council, which the Bedford school board and the second talk will be about the concept of professional learning communities. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the John Jay High School library. If you can't make it, check back with Patch on Friday for the latest in K-L district news.

5. Walk barefoot for a cause
According to organizer Isabella Rago, participants in the walk will go barefoot to raise awareness for the children across the world who don't have a choice and about the impact a single pair of shoes can make on a child's life.
