1. K-L school district to finalize tax rates

The Katonah Lewisboro school board meets tonight and will likely approve applying $2,254,012 in fund balance to the reduction of the tax levy for the fiscal year 2011-2012. Check back tomorrow for our report.

The Katonah Village Library is offereing a claymation workshop. Participants will create an animation film in the vein of Gumby & Pokey or Wallace & Gromit, with local artist Susan Ordahl. for details, registration required. 

4. For younger kids, a Spanish lesson

If camp has ended and you're looking to prevent the summer brain drain, head down to the Chappaqua Library at 4 p.m. Instructor Diana Walker will be holding a course today at the Chappaqua Library, at 4 p.m. It's geared toward 2nd to 4th graders. Click here for details.

5. Sunny, high near 83

The weather looks ideal today, with a forecast for partly sunny skies and a high near 83, according to the National Weather Service. Outdoor plans could be foiled by a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
