Katonah Resident Charged With DWI
Maxwell Caserta was arrested following a one-car accident in Katonah.

Maxwell Caserta, a 22-year-old Katonah resident, was arrested on June 22 and charged with DWI, according to Bedford police.
Officers responded to a report of a one-car accident on Lily Pond Lane in Katonah. They located the car—with severe damage and deployed airbags—in a wooded area but did not find the driver at the accident scene.
Police found Caserta at his home on Lily Pond Lane. During their investigation, they noticed Caserta appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said Caserta had visible facial injuries and he failed field sobriety tests. He was brought to headquarters where he refused to take a blood test. He was released without bail pending an appearance in town court.

Pleasantville woman arrested for Kohl’s theft
Valentina Perlleshi, a 35-year-old woman from Pleasantville, was arrested on June 15 and charged with petty larceny, according to police. Kohl’s loss prevention officers said she had removed a pair of sandals, a toaster and a large suitcase from the store and left without stopping to pay for the merchandise. The total value of the items was approximately $400. She was released on $150 bail pending an appearance in town court.
Bedford Hills resident charged with menacing, assault
An 18-year-old Bedford Hills resident was arrested on June 15 after he allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, punching her in the face, striking her eye and her head, knocking her to the ground and choking her.

Police said they responded to a call about a disturbance at a residence on Harris Road around 1:30 p.m. They interviewed the female victim, who was examined by medical personnel at the scene but refused medical attention. The 18-year-old was charged with third-degree menacing, third-degree assault with intent to physically injure, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing, all misdemeanors.
Judge Erik Jacobsen set bail at $2,500 and issued an order of protection for the female victim. The male was released on bail pending a town court appearance.
Yonkers resident charged with giving Kohl's discounts to friends
Jemell McVay, a 21-year-old Yonkers resident and employee of Kohl's in Bedford Hills, was arrested on June 15 and charged with third-degree grand larceny after he allegedly discounted merchandise for customers. The unauthorized discounts are thefts valued at over $5,000, according to police. He was remanded to Westchester County Jail and is scheuled to appear in town court.
Bedford Hills man charged with marijuana possession
Douglas Hoffman, a 33-year-old male from Bedford Hills, was arrested on June 17 on Babbit Road and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male on Babbit Road and found Hoffman, allegedly with an open container of beer and a small amount of marijuana. He was released pending an appearance in town court.
