Clean-Up Days Coming, Recipes Needed

1. Rally draws hundreds to John Jay HS; Kreutzer appointed

We let you know last night that the school board voted unanimously to approve their new schools superintendent. Today we're posting his introduction letter to the community and we will have complete video highlights from the rally, Q&A and meeting.

2. KVIS clean up day

Making plans for the weekend yet? Get into the spring cleaning spirit on Saturday by joining friends to tidy up the town, an effort organized by the Katonah Village Improvement Society.  Meet in front of the library between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. when disposable gloves, garbage bags, vests, route maps and refreshments will be provided. There will also be prizes for the kids.

3. Bedford school board meets

The Bedford Central school board meeting begins tonight at 8 p.m. in the Fox Lane Middle School Theatre.

4. Submit your recipe for the Fox Lane Boosters cookbook

A group of Fox Lane parents have recently decided that the time is right for organizing a community sponsored cookbook comprised of recipes provided by members of the Bedford Central School District communit. All proceeds will go the Fox Lane Sports Boosters Club Golf Outing and Fundraising event on May 23.  Recipe submissions and other ideas or comments should be directed to Didi Woodhull. The deadline for submissions is May 1.

5.    Administrative Professionals Day is Wednesday

Don’t forget that today is the day to recognize the hard work of administrative professionals. Check our directory for flower and gift shops and make sure you let you know your administrative employees how much you appreciate how well they do their job.
