Lions 'Warm Hearts, Warm Hands Sock & Glove Drive' Needs A Hand

BEDFORD HILLS, NY — The holidays are darn near here and The Lions Club of Bedford Hills announced their "Warm Hearts, Warm Hands, Sock & Glove Drive."

The group is asking the tight-knit community to drop off a pair (or two) of new socks and/or gloves in a donation box in the Bedford Town Clerk's Office (and maybe offer a high-five on the way out).

The Lions will be collecting new socks and gloves through December 17, in a footrace to collect 100 pairs of new socks/gloves by the end of the drive. The group will then pair with the Community Center of Northern Westchester to get the socks and gloves to those who are most in need of them.

The Bedford Town Clerk's Office is located in Bedford Town House at 321 Bedford Rd. in Bedford Hills.

There is also a special drop box at Bedford Hills Elementary School. This box will only be accessible to students, families and staff at the school.

The Lions Club said that they will also be collecting socks and gloves at the Bedford Hills Tree Lighting on December 2.
