Almost 700 of your neighbors participated in the second annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life walk at the John Jay High School.
This year's event could surpass the donations raised by the inaugural Relay in 2012. According to the ACS website, this year the K-L Relay for Life raised over $190,000 in pledges. Organizers say that numbers are likely to climb even higher after donations are tallied from luminaria sales and the mini-fundraising events that take place throughout the overnight fundraiser.
Last year's event resulted in a recognition of the Katonah-Lewisboro Relay as the 'Relay for Life Rookie of the Year' at the American Cancer Society Eastern Division Relay For Life Summit.
