Mt. Kisco Man Charged With Assault of Bedford Hills Woman

A Mt. Kisco man was arrested after striking and injuring a Bedford Hills woman who stabbed him with a pocket knife in self-defense.
Police officers responded a call about a violation of an order of protection at the Bedford Mews on Harris Road in Bedford Hills on June 13. The victim reported that Matthew White, 24, hit her in the parking lot of the condo complex. The former couple were arguing when White struck her, she told police, then she defended herself with the pocketknife.
The pair were taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for treatment. The victim, who had the order of protection in place against White, had redness and swelling on her face and bite marks on her upper left arm and fingers. White suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police. Both were treated and released from the hospital.

White was charged with third degree assault with intent to physically injure, second degree criminal contempt and disobeying a court order. He was arraigned by Judge Jacobsen and released without bail pending a return to town court.
Mt. Kisco youth charged with petty larceny
A 17-year-old female resident of Mt. Kisco was arrested by Bedford police at Kohl's Department Store on June 13 for allegedly taking merchandise from the store without paying for it, according to police. Store security reported to police that she stole lingerie valued at $35.00. She was charged with petty larceny and released on $100 bail pending a return to Bedford court.
