Mt. Kisco Woman Charged With DWI in Bedford

A Mt. Kisco woman was arrested after being stopped by a local resident who noticed her alleged erratic driving on Bedford Road.
Police responded to the call at approximately 4:50 p.m. on May 18 at the intersection of Bedford Road and Haines Road and found the resident and Maureen Sheehan, 51, parked on the wrong side of Haines Road. The resident who reported the erratic driving said Sheehan had almost hit several cars.
Police identified the driver and while interviewing her, noticed a strong smell of alcohol on her breath. Sheehan, who admitted to having two drinks earlier that day, was brought to police headquarters. She submitted to a breathalyzer test with results of .22 BAC, almost three times the legal limit in New York state.

Sheehan was charged with aggravated DWI and DWI and was released without bail pending a future court appearance in Bedford.
Bedford Hills man charged with mobil phone use while driving
Peter Maria DeJong was arrested on May 16 after Bedford police noticed he was talking on a mobile phone while driving a white Budget rental truck.

Police stopped DeJong, a 51 year old male from Bedford Hills. A computer check revealed he had two active suspensions on his license. DeJong was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a car and using a cel phone on a highway.
He was released without bail pending a future court appearance.
Youth arrested for damaging TV
An 18-year old male was arrested on May 18 after allegedly damaging a televsion set at a group home in Bedford that is part of a social service agency in Westchester. The incident happened at about 6 p.m. and caused approximately $600 in damage to the TV.
