New K-L Schools Chief Starts Work, Nice Weather Continues
It's 5 things you need to know Thursday.

1. New K-L superintendent hits the ground running
The new Katonah-Lewisboro Superintendent of Schools started work this week, and this afternoon he attends his first school board meeting. We met with him yesterday to discuss his impressions of the district thus far and some of his immediate and long-term goals. Check back later today for our interview with Dr. Paul Kreutzer. The school board's annual re-organization meeting is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the John Jay High School library.
2. Wiffle ball

Kids in 4th through 6th grade are invited to Bedford Hills Memorial Park Basketball Courts at 3:15 p.m. for a wiffle ball hitting contest. Wiffle balls and bats will be provided. for more information.
3. Would you pay $25 to get into a 9/11 Memorial?

The New York City Council is mulling whether the public should have to pay up to $25 to get in the Sept. 11 Memorial Museum at Ground Zero. Check back with us at 11 a.m. for the Question of the Day and tell us what you think.
4. A drive-in movie
Ogre Alert! Everyone’s favorite scary giant returns to the big screen for his final visit to Kensico Dam Plaza during a showing of Shrek Forever After (2010, PG) as part of the “Screenings under the Stars” free outdoor movies series on Thursday, July 7, in Valhalla. The show starts at dusk; sunset will be at 8:30 p.m. today. for details.
5. The weather forecast
The great weather continues, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon, after 2pm. Thursday night is expected to be a nice summer evening, with a low of 62, according to the National Weather Service. Perfect for a drive-in movie!
