The other bid submitted was from Cincinatti-based Total Platform Tennis, at $169,900. Heidepriem said RPTC had been experience completing many courts in Westchester and New England for many decades and recommended that the board accept their low bid.
The courts will be paid primarily through a bond with the $5,500 overage coming from a capital fund surplus funds account, the board decided. This project is in addition to two other platform tennis courts located near the park's shelter.
