4. Integrative medicine for your pets

"Wipe Your Paws" is hosting a talk covering Integrative Medicine for Pets.  Dr. Alvarez, the head of Integrative and Rehabilitative Medicine at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center, will lead a conversation providing an overview of integrative medicine, acupuncture and the benefits it can offer your pet, physical rehabilition and herbal medicines and natural remedies. It's tonight at 7:15 p.m.

5. Plant your garden, the native way

The use of native plants in public and private gardens is becoming increasingly popular, but knowing how to use native plants in coordination with ecological patterns and processes is not so well understood, say organizers of a presentation, sponsored by the Bedford Audubon Society. Landscape consultant Larry Weaner will use a series of case studies to explore techniques for gracefully integrating native plant compositions and ecological processes into the residential landscape. for more info on the program which starts tonight at 7:30 p.m.
