Police Cite Two Bedford Businesses for Selling Alcohol to Minors
Bedford police conducted compliance checks.

Bedford police conducted alcohol sales law compliance checks last week and charged two local businesses with selling alcohol to minors.
Working with plainclothes officers and members of the Westchester County District Attorney's office, underage individuals entered businesses and attempted to illegally purchase alcoholic beverages.
Seven local businesses refused to sell to minors and asked for and checked the identification of the minors trying to buy; two businesses sold to underage buyers.

The businesses that passed the compliance checks were:
- Katonah Wine & Liquors
- A&P supermarket in Katonah
- The Finer Winer
- Hess Express
- Vine & Co.
- Bedford Hills Deli

- Corner Store Deli on Church St.
In both stores, police charged the clerk and store owners for violating alcohol sales laws. The business owners are scheduled to make an appearance in town court in January.
