Police: Local Employees Accused of Selling Alcohol to Minors
Employees at the Fifth Division Deli in Cross River and the Scott's Corner Market in Pound Ridge were arrested on Monday.
Employees of two local markets were arrested on Monday after allegedly selling alcohol to an underage—and undercover—volunteer, state police say.
State police conducted an underage drinking enforcement detail, during which the volunteer tried to buy alcoholic beverages from over 20 local businesses in the towns of Somers, North Salem, Lewisboro and Pound Ridge.
According to state police, two employees of those local establishments sold alcohol to the underage volunteer, resulting in arrests under the alcoholic beverage control laws, which prohibit the sale of alcohol to minors.
