Police: Man Crashes Car into Tree on Route 22, Charged With DWI

A Connecticut man was arrested and charged with DWI after crashing his car into a tree on Old Post Road early this morning, Bedford police said.
The driver, Tyler Brammer, a 25 year old male from Thomaston, CT, struck a tree on Route 22 near Route 172 at approximately 1:30 a.m., according to police.
responded to the scene and extricated Brammer from the car, which was totaled beyond repair. Brammer was taken to the Westchester Medical Center for treatment, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Brammer refused to take chemcial tests at the hospital.

Ibeth Gomez, the owner of the property on which Brammer crashed, told News 12 reporters at the scene she thought "something needed to be done to address" the dangerous conditions on the road. She said it was the third time in five years this type of accident has happened on their property.
Based on their investigation, police charged Brammer with DWI. He was released from the hospital and is due back in Bedford Court on July 5.
