Police Seek Information on Two Katonah Burglaries

Two break-ins occurred in downtown Katonah on July 17.

The Bedford Police are currently investigating two commercial burglaries that occurred on July 17 in the downtown Katonah Avenue area.

The first break-in occurred at 3:45 a.m. at the Wooden Nickel Deli. The white male suspect smashed the front door window to enter the store. Once inside, the suspect went straight toward the cash register, and removed cash.

The surveillance video inside the store captured the incident. The suspect is described as being a white male with a crew cut (light colored hair), thin build, 5'7"-6'0", late teens or early twenties, with possible tattoos on both arms.

The second incident happened approximately five minutes after the first. The same suspect entered the Blue Dolphin restaurant on Katonah Avenue by climbing a fence behind the establishment and forcing open a second floor window screen. Once inside, the suspect went directly to the register, removed cash and fled the location through a basement door.

About $900 in total was stolen from the two businesses.
