Prowler Arrested in Bedford
Police said that a man who jumped a fence surrounding a gated property said he was looking for a place to get warm.

A White Plains man was arrested on May 7 after he jumped a fence and entered the garage of a gated property on Bedford Center Road in Bedford Hills, said police.
The residents had retired for the evening, they told police. The property and driveway was surrounded by a wood and metal fence but the garage doors were left open that night.
After responding to the residents' call about a prowler in their garage, police found Jorge Alvarez, 23, standing outside the garage. He told police he had jumped the fence and was looking for a place to get warm. Police said he showed signs of intoxication, and after being questioned, Alvarez admitted to drinking four beers and said he was trying to get home.
