Puppeteer Tim Clarke Brings 'Puppet Extravaganza' to Ridgefield Playhouse
Clarke worked with Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets.

Puppeteer Tim Clarke, who worked for five years with Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets, will bring Dr. Phineas’s Magical Emporium’s “The Dragon and the Pepper: A Puppet Extravaganza!” to the at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 17.
It’s “the tale of a chef who was banished from his homeland, only to make friends with a fire breathing dragon,” according to a press statement about the event.
In addition to making puppets for Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, Clarke has made puppets for The Dark Crystal and Fraggle Rock. What’s more he has invented toys such as Sectaurs (Coleco) and Boglins (Mattel), as well as puppets and toys for Melissa & Doug.

Puppeteer Bijhan Clarke, who studied theater at Western Connecticut State University, is also part of the incredible world of Dr. Phineas’s Magical Emporium. His past work includes Marty and the Narrator (writer/director), Recalculating (writer), and Don’t Ask (director).
