QiQi Spa Opens in Bedford Hills

Pronounced "chi-chi," the new spa offers inexpensive massages by the half-hour.

A new spa has joined a growing list of businesses in Bedford that offer opportunities to relax, de-stress and have your troubles massaged away.

QiQi Bodywork & Spa opened last month in a refurbished space at 20 Babbit Road, just across the street from

Owned by Zhang Su Juan—a resident of Queens and native of Beijing, China—the spa offers four massage rooms in a two-story space decorated with Asian accents, including a two-foot high ceramic cat that owner Zhang Su Juan says represents a sense of well-being (see photos posted with this story).

Su Juan moved to Flushing, Queens, when she was six years old. She said she chose Bedford Hills as a location for her new business because the space seemed right to her and the "customers are very nice."

Services include 30 minute massages for $40 and hour-long massages for $60. A customer may also choose a "four-hand" massage—where two therapists perform the massage on one individual—at $70, $100 and $110, for 30, 60 and 90 minutes, respectively.

Complimentary beverages including coffee and a variety of teas are served when customers arrive or following their appointment, Su Juan.

Su Juan received her cosmetology certification from the Grace International Beauty School in Queens.
