Road Work on Rtes 172 and 22 Starts Today, Summer Camp Starts Tomorrow
And tomorrow is primary day for federal elections.
1. Leave extra time for road work
The state Departmend of Transportation will be paving Route 172 from Route 117 in Mt Kisco to Route 22 in Bedford, and Route 22 from Middle Patent Rd in Armonk to Route 121 in Bedford starting June 25. Expect delays since lanes will be closed as needed. Roads will remain open, but may have single lane traffic. Starting the week of July 9 for 2-3 weeks, night paving will occur from Sunday to Thursday, 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. Roads will remain open, but lanes will be closed. Delays should be expected.

School just ended but many have already packed backpacks for day camps and trunks for sleepaway. In the town of Bedford, camp starts June 26 and runs til August 3, with one-week extension camps offered at Bedford Hills: Lego Camp, Art Camp, Science Camp and Sports Camp.

4. Bedford artist Cindy Sacks shows work this weekend
If all our talk of has you yearning for visions of gorgeous vegetables, check out Bedford artist , oil & water, which will hang in the Main House Gallery at in Somers starting this Sunday. As you may have seen, we re-tooled Readers' Choice and now have 25 categories for which you can nominate your favorite shops and places to go through July 9.
