Bedford, Katonah-Lewisboro Storm Cancellations

Folks in Bedford are already gearing up for Hurricane Sandy—and some are cancelling events that had been set for the weekend and beyond.

• In Westchester, the Veterans Town Hall scheduled for Tuesday, October 30 is now cancelled. The event will be rescheduled at a later time, according to the Westchester County Executives Office.
• The Town of Lewisboro has cancelled its Monday night board meeting. The next Town Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 8 at the Lewisboro Library.  The Town Board Meeting to follow will be held on Monday, November 19, also at the Library.
• Katonah-Lewisboro schools have cancelled activities on campus for Sunday. The district will announce any potential school closings by Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
• HalloweenFest was to be hosted by the Katonah Chamber of Commerce, but has been cancelled.
• A Matter of Taste Event has been re-Scheduled due to the impending storm; Arc of Westchester Foundation's benefit has moved from Tues., October 30 to Thursday, November 1. Contact fhiggins@westchesterarc.org or call 914.495.4536 if you wish further information.
