Carve some time out on your calendar to stop by the St. Luke’s annual "Plant Patch," starting this Thursday. Held annually during the four days before and including Mother’s Day, the sale offers blooming annuals offered by the flat or hanging basket, perennials by the gallon bucket, and herbs and vegetables by the flat.
4. Groundbreaking for new "Food Bank" garden at WLT today
At 11 a.m. today, the Food Bank for Westchester and Westchester Land Trust will break ground on their new garden, which is expected to provide more than 500 pounds of food for Westchester’s needy, according to their press release. It's also the start of a partnership between the two organizations. This year, Doug DeCandia, the Food Bank’s food growing program coordinator, will cultivate a quarter-acre of WLT’s Sugar Hill Farm property to grow produce for the Food Bank.
5. Adopt a Kitten
