Sparkle for a Cause, New Coach at Fox Lane, Deer Park Site Plans

1. Sparkle for a cause
Starting tonight, every Tuesday evening throughout the summer will host “Sparkle for a Cause," a ladies’ night out in Amy’s Garden. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., a special list of Sparkling Wine drinks along with a menu of sparkling wine-friendly finger foods and sharing foods will be offered; aportion of all proceeds raised with these special menus will be donated to the Charity of the Week. The first charity to be celebrated, on Tuesday June 28th, will be Make-A-Wish of the Hudson Valley. Call 666-8044 for details.
2. New football coach at Fox Lane

The Bedford Central School District announced that Steve Quinn will become Fox Lane High School's new football coach, starting July 1. Quinn, a Fox Lane Middle School guidance counselor, will replace Bill Broggy, who is stepping down after 12 years. Quinn, has already served as an assistant coach for the varsity football team. He was chosen from among seven final candidates through a committee that included parents, students, staff and administrators, according to the district. 3.Teen scavenger hunt at the Lewisboro Library

For teens in the Lewisboro side of the school district, a "wacky scavenger hunt" will today take participants inside and outside the library. This will be followed by a pizza party and review of our special summer activities for teens. It's for grade 6 and up and starts at 5 p.m. and registration is required, call 763-3857.
4. Office building at former Deer Park Tavern site may get approval tonight
Almost a year and a half after his restaurant burned to the ground, Roy Reeves may get his final site plan approval to build an He or his representatives will appear at the Bedford town planning board tonight to review the plans. 5. Town board work session on sewers
Tonight the town council will discuss ideas and next steps in building a Bedford Hills & Katonah Wastewater System. to read out interview with Bedford Supervisor Lee Roberts where she discussed the town's work on this issue.The work session starts at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.
