State Police: Four Charged With DWI

The arrests took place in Bedford and Lewisboro on Sunday and Monday.

CT woman arrested after 'erratic driving'

State police said Connecticut resident Dona Rintelman, 48, was arrested Monday after she was stopped by troopers for driving erratically on I-684 in Bedford. Around 5:30 p.m., Rintelman, of Southbury, submitted to a breath test which indicated a BAC of .22 percent. Police charged Rintleman with aggravated DWI. She was released, pending an appearance in Bedford Town Court on Thurs. Feb. 17.

State police said they arrested two men, Christopher Davies, 20, and Nicholas Hirshorn, 18, both of Fairfield, CT, around 2 a.m. Sunday morning on Route 35 in Bedford. Davies was  stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation, said police, and further  investigation revealed he was intoxicated with a BAC of .14 percent. Davies was released pending an appearance in Bedford Town Court on Thurs. Feb. 17. Hirshorn was found with a switchblade knife, said police, and was arrested for fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

State police said they stopped Aivy Nguyen, 23, of Danbury, CT, around 3 a.m. Sunday morning on I-684 in Lewisboro. Field sobriety tests and investigation revealed Nguyen to have a .12 BAC, said troopers. Nguyen was released pending an appearance in Lewisboro Town court on Feb. 21.

Pound Ridge man charged with DWI

State police said they stopped Christopher Caruso, 28, of Pound Ridge, for a vehicle and traffic violation on I-684 in the Town of Bedford, around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. Police said Caruso refused the breath test but their investigation revealed that he was intoxicated. Caruso was released pending an appearance in Bedford Town Court on Feb. 17.
