State Police Issue 47 Tickets in Bedford and Lewisboro
State troopers issued tickets to drivers not wearing their seat belts.

State Police issued 47 tickets Sunday to drivers in the towns of Bedford and Lewisboro during weekend traffic stops.
Police say the majority of tickets were for failure to wear a seatbelt. From 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., police conducted an "occupant safety enforcement detail," checking cars on the off-ramp of Interstate 684.
Officers say this sort of traffic detail helps promote the idea of seat belt safety as a way to curb injuries, property damage and deaths.
