If you believe Harold Camping, that is. The 89-year-old founder of Family Radio, a Christian broadcasting radio network, has spread the word that Jesus will make a second coming on May 21, Judgement Day. 2. Locals  honored for community service Sunday

Five awards for outstanding service to the community will be made to local residents at the Bedford Democratic Committee’s on Sunday. The award recipients were selected for their leadership and notable achievements in five categories of service, and include Katherine Vockins, Founder and Executive Director, Rehabilitation Through The Arts, for Arts Outreach;  Marian H. Rose, PhD, Director, Croton Watershed Clean Water Coalition, for Education;  Ellen Rouse Conrad, Co-President, Mary Beth Kass, Co-President, and Olivia H. Farr, Senior Vice President, Bedford 2020 Coalition, for Environmental Protection;  Daren Wu, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Open Door Family Medical Centers, for Health Care;  and a Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Service to David F. Brown, CPCA.
