Outdoor Dancing at Dusk Tonight at Caramoor
Caramoor's family program is designed to bring adults and kids together for music they wouldn't otherwise have the chance to enjoy together.
The forecast is for clear, summery weather so grab a picnic and a blanket and pack the kids up for a family concert tonight at Caramoor. The program is said to be designed to bring great music to families they wouldn't otherwise get to hear together.
Katie Kresek, Caramoor's family program designer, explains in the YouTube video attached with this story that Caramoor's family offerings provides a fun, artistic experience to do together. Kresek, an Ossining native, is a professional violinist and teaching artist on the faculty of the New York Philharmonic.
Tonight, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, one of the nation's premier flamenco and Spanish dance companies according to Caramoor, will perform "an uplifting night of music and dance that will build cultural bridges and inspire audiences both young and old," according to press materials:

The performance features a thrilling range of repertoire such as Sevillanas (a festive, celebratory dance from Seville with castanets), Alegrias (a light, playful rhythm from the port city of Cadiz), Guajiras con abanico (a fan dance drawing from Cuban influences) and Rumba Flamenca (drawing on influences from the Caribbean), this Dancing at Dusk will carry you away with its exhilarating and energetic spirit!
Families may bring a picnic and children will have the opportunity to dance to live music, interact with the musicians, get to know their instruments, and ask questions.

Activities will be designed for toddlers as well as pre-teens. The event begins at 5 p.m. and tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.
