1. Fox Lane schedule survey

may get a new schedule in the future and the school is asking for input. The school currently has nine periods a day for 40 minutes each but is looking at the possibility of implementing block scheduleing. (Today is Superintendent's conference day - no school in Bedford!)

If you've ever wanted some tips from a pro on how to create better looking floral arrangements, you'll have a chance tomorrow. Award-winning floral designer Kymrie A. Zaslow will present a program at the Tuesday, April 10 meeting of the Pound Ridge Garden Club. The program, which is open to the public, is at the and begins at 10:45 a.m. Zaslow is a National Garden Clubs Accredited Judge and a member of Creative Floral Arrangers of the Americas, is a frequent lecturer on floral design.

3. Midnight Run at John Jay

Reach Out John Jay is the the community outreach club at is currently coordinating a Midnight Run for Saturday April 14. They seek gently used or new clothing, toiletries and blankets for their donation bins, which they deliver to New York City homeless. There are collection containers at all of the schools near the office and these will remain there until April 12. For more information, contact rojj@klschools.org

4. New businesses in Bedford Hills

On Friday, we stopped in to meet the owner of MeMe's Treats, which plans to open in Bedford Hills on April 28, in the former location of Massage Envy will also open its doors later this month, and we've got an interview with its new owners coming this week. In addition, this week's planning board meeting will address the application from representatives of Johnny Gelato to open on Green Lane. Look for details this week on Patch.
