College Night at Fox Lane, BYOB (Bike) Workshop

1. BYOB (Bring your own bike)

The Westchester Cycle Club is holding a "Bring Your Own Bike" workshop, tonight at 7 p.m. at in Mount Kisco. Learn how to change your own flat tires, plus enjoy a casual bite to eat and meet fellow cyclists.  for details.

3. Government meetings this week

In town government, the board plans to visit 44 Holly Branch Road, the home known as the Belfry, in order to prepare for the appeal filed by the homeowners deemed of historic significance by the town's preservation commission. The board will return to town hall to discuss, among other items, a change in the town's recycling ordinance.

4. College night at Fox Lane

will host a college night on Tuesday at 6 p.m. featuring more than 220 institutions of higher learning to answer questions from parents and students alike. In addition, College Night will offer workshops on topics including Creative and Performing Arts: Auditions and Portfolios; Competitive Colleges; CUNY Schools; 504 and Learning Disabilities; Highly Competitive College Admissions; Majoring in Success: Where the Jobs Are; Athletic Recruiting; Tips for First Generation College Students; Exploring the Liberal Arts College Experience; and Financing College, among others.

5. Bedford students inducted into Cum Laude society

Patrick Kennedy-Nolle of Bedford was recently inducted into the Cum Laude society at the Loomis Chaffe school in Windsor, CT. Only 44 juniors and seniors are recognized with this distinction for their academic achievements.  Congratulations, Patrick!
