Tornado Watch in Effect for Westchester County
The National Weather Service issued the alert at 1 p.m. and it is in effect through 8 p.m. tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of Connecticut, New Jersey and ten counties in New York, including Westchester.
A cold front moving through the region is likely to cause severe thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Damaging winds could produce an isolated tornado.
After 8 p.m., there should be a gradual clearing, with temperatures dropping to a low of 56 degrees. There's a 30 percent chance of more rain tonight.
But good news—the NWS predicts Thursday to be clear, sunny and less humid, with a high of 72 degree.
