Town Extends Pool Hours, Tree Figures Tower at KMA
It's 5 things you need to know Wednesday.

1. Temps to reach 95, air quality alert
Hot and sunny with highs in the mid 90s today, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms after 8 p.m. The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an air quality alert for Westchester County for the hours between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., which means those sensitive to higher levels of pollutnants—infants and the elderly, or those with asthma—should limit physical activity outdoors.
2. Pool hours extended today
Town officials have extended hours at the Bedford Hills and the Bedford Village pools for Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The Katonah pool will not be open due to the regularly scheduled swim and dive team practices. All pools will be open Thursday and Friday from 3:30pm - 7:30pm.Valid pool permits are required and must be shown to the gate attendant on duty.

3. Katonah Fire Department Parade starts at 7 p.m.
If you're not going swimming, bring some cold drinks down to Katonah for the annual firefighter's parade.

4. School salad days
Both Lewisboro Elementary school and West Patent Elementary School in Bedford Hills are having "salad days" today, enjoying fresh vegetables school-wide.
5. Amazing tree creatures at KMA
Have you been to the to see the tree creatures yet? The KMA describes them as "haunting" figures that "invite a dialogue between the natural and the manmade." They are ginormous—up to 27 feet tall—and just fascinating to stare at. They were created from trees on the Vermont property of the artist, Joseph Wheelwright.
