Turkki, a resident of East Syracuse, was in Katonah 10 months ago caring for the 7- and 9-year-old girls while her sister and brother-in-law, Joseph and Eva Kelly, were at the nearby Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts. She stabbed the children, called police to report it, and waited outside her sister's Girdle Ridge home

Turkki's insanity plea was
In a press release the DA's office said the confinement is for a period of six months, "subject to further review and confinement."
