Police Charge North Salem Woman With DWI

A North Salem woman was arrested on July 6 after police observed her car crossing the fog lines several times on Bedford Road.
Officers stopped Linda Brown, 52, and conducted an interview during which Brown said she hadn't had any alcohol to drink. Police said they noticed she had red, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. Brown failed field sobriety tests and refused to take an alco-sensor test. She was taken to police headquarters where she refused a chemical test.
Brown was charged with DWI, making an unsafe lane change, refusing a pre-screen test and driving with and expired insurance card. She was released on $150 bail pending a return to town court.

Bedford Hills man charged in driving arrest
Michael Nolin was arrested on July 3after police observed him allegedly driving 49 miles per hour in a 30 miles per hour zone on Bedford Road. After conducting a traffic stop on Harris Road, police ran Nolin's license through a computer check which revealed Nolin's license and registration were suspended.
Nolin, 40, of Bedford Hills, was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a car, unlicensed driving, speeding and driving with a suspended registration. He was released on $260 bail pending a return to town court.

Mahopac man charged with marijuana possession
Lee Becker, 44, was arrested on July 5 on Cross River Road in Katonah after being stopped at 11:51 p.m. at a DWI checkpoint conducted by Bedford police in conjunction with the New York State police. Officers said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and Becker admitted to smoking it; police recovered about six grams from Becker. He was released without bail pending a return to town court.
