Youths Accused of Making Graffiti Mushrooms Arrested
The young artists used spray cans to make their marks.

A 17-year-old male from Bedford Hills and a 19-year-old male from Cross River have been charged with making graffiti at the Hess Station at 776 Bedford Road.
On August 5 around 12:45 a.m. a Mt. Kisco police officer, while on patrol near the Bedford Hills border, pulled into the gas station. He saw two males walking from behind the building and confronted them.
The officer called for backup from the Bedford police. The investigating officers returned to the rear of the gas station and found an array of symbols and words sprayed in pink, blue, brown and green. Pictures of mushrooms, a crown and a heart illustrated words such as: Think, Fun, Angel and Dawn.

The officers found the car the youths were driving, which had matching graffiti marks sprayed throughout the interior, in the gas station parking lot.
"The matching marks in the car certainly help the case," said Bedford police Lieutenant Jeff Dickan.
