Bellmore Native Advances On 'The Bachelorette'

BELLMORE, NY — Peter Izzo, who was born and raised in Bellmore, is among the 30 contestants vying for "The Bachelorette."

Izzo, a pizza owner in Port St. Joe, Florida, was one of the 24 men who received a rose in the first episode on Tuesday night.

Izzo using his pizza personality tossed dough in the air and let it fall to the ground, Newsday reported.

He called out in Italian to the bachelorette Michelle Young, "B-b-b-buongiorno, principessa! (Good morning, princess!).

This is the 18th season of the ABC reality series.
