97 Year old Jerry Proct and his 89 year old wife Marlene celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary at The Bristal at East Meadow. Their anniversary luncheon featured shrimp cocktail, seared scallops over linguine and fresh vegetables and Marlene’s favorite, apple tart for dessert. Jerry presented Marlene a rose signifying his never ending love. The Procts lived in North Bellmore for 54 years, before moving to The Seasons at East Meadow, where they lived for ten years before coming to The Bristal in April. Marlene originally from Brooklyn was a Pathologist and Jerry who grew up in Astoria, Queens was a heating and air conditioning technician. Jerry served in the Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. They have 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
