More Than 50 Dogs Rescued From Commercial Breeding

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — More than 50 small dogs and puppies, all survivors of commercial breeding facilities in the Midwest, arrived at North Shore Animal League America's Port Washington campus.

NSALA's rescue team returned on Friday from Missouri with the rescued dogs through a collaboration with National Mill Dog Rescue.

These animals will be seen by NSALA's veterinary and behavioral teams, as well as their groomers.

The rescued dogs will be made available for adoption this week. Those interested in adopting can visit the Port Washington Adoption Center and can find more information online.
