LION to Rally for Animals in Bellmore Saturday
The organization urges Gov. Andrew Cuomo to sign a bill that will allow local municipalities to regulate pet stores.

Long Island Orchestrating for NatureΒ will hold a rally atΒ Worldwide Puppies and KittensΒ onΒ Saturday to urge Gov.Β Andrew Cuomo to sign a bill that will allowΒ local municipalities to regulate pet stores.Β
The organization claims that Worldwide Puppies and KittensΒ sells seriously sick and dying cats and dogs to the public.
Last month, members of LION gatheredΒ outside ofΒ Merrick FursΒ toΒ protestΒ the storeβs opening for the fall season.
The rally will take place at 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
LION's mission is to "educate the public about animals and toΒ advocate for their needs."
