UPDATE: Missing North Bellmore Woman Located

UPDATE: Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10:53 p.m:

The North Bellmore woman who was missing since Monday afternoon has been located, police said.

Detectives have issued a Silver Alert for Bria Francis, 18, who was last spotted at NUMC at 3:30 p.m. Monday wearing gray pants, a gray sweatshirt and light blue Converse sneakers. She was also carrying a gray bag with the word "pink" written on it.

Cops said Francis made a suicide threat to the staff at Hope for Youth Group Home, which led to her being taken to NUMC. Then, she fled on foot in an unknown direction from the front of the hospital.

The Silver Alert Program has been established in order to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
